Working together

Do we have to take everything, or can we start with one service?

You can start with a single service. Plenty of accounts begin with paid media, a site rebuild, or a positioning sprint while the rest of the marketing stack stays as it is. We still run an internal handover so search copy, landing pages and reporting share the same language, even if you are only buying one line from us. If the work later expands, we add people to the same account rather than opening a second brief. The first conversation is about the gap you need closed this quarter, not a catalogue you have to take in full.

Can you work with our in-house team rather than replacing it?

Yes. A large share of our retainers sit beside an internal marketer, a founder who still writes, or a regional brand team that needs Singapore execution. We agree who owns which channel in week one and put that on the roadmap so nobody is duplicating briefs. Your team keeps relationships, product knowledge and final sign-off; we bring production hours, media buying and the reporting layer. If the mix needs to change after a quarter, we re-cut the RACI in plain language — who is responsible, who is consulted — in the monthly review, not in a surprise email.

Who will we actually speak to each week?

Every account has a named lead. On a full programme that is usually Mira for strategy questions and a day-to-day producer who chairs the weekly stand-up. You will also have direct access to Daniel, Priya or Wei when the work in their discipline is live; we do not hide specialists behind a ticket queue. The weekly call is 30 minutes unless a launch needs longer. Fortnightly working sessions are for drafts and media changes. You will leave discovery knowing the names, the calendar holds, and which address to use when something is urgent.

How do you handle confidentiality?

We sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before we see anything you consider sensitive, and we can work under your paper if your legal team prefers. Work files live in a client-named workspace. We do not use your material as a public case study, which is why this site describes methods with sector labels rather than company names. Subcontractors — translators, printers, a specialist editor — are bound by the same confidentiality terms before they see copy. If a conflict of interest appears in the same category, we tell you before we accept the other brief.

Can you cover regional markets from Singapore?

Singapore is the operating centre. From Robinson Road we plan and buy for Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong and Australia when the brief needs it. Creative is written in English first; Simplified Chinese, Bahasa Indonesia and Malay adaptations go through vetted translators and a native reviewer, not through a browser plugin. Media accounts stay in your name in each market where the platform allows it. Some licences and marketplace storefronts have to sit with a local entity — we flag that in discovery so finance is not surprised in month two.

Do you charge for the first meeting?

The first meeting is not billed. It is 45 minutes, on Robinson Road or on a video call, and it is there to see whether the work is a fit. We will ask what you sell, who buys it, what has already been tried, and what would need to be different in six months. You will leave with a sense of engagement shape — project, retainer or advisory — and the four inputs we need to quote. If we are the wrong studio for the brief, we will say so on that call rather than writing a theatre proposal.

Scope & delivery

How fast can something go live?

A paid search campaign on an existing site, with tracking already in place, can be live inside two working weeks after access is granted. A landing page with new photography usually needs three to four weeks. A full identity and site is a project measured in months, not sprints of a few days. During discovery we write a first-ship date into the roadmap so nobody is guessing. Speed depends on approvals as much as on our bench: if legal review sits with an overseas parent, we build that into the calendar on day one rather than discovering it at the eleventh hour.

What if a campaign is not working after two months?

Two months is long enough to see directional signal on most paid channels, and too soon to panic on brand search. In the monthly review we separate execution problems (wrong audience, weak creative, broken tracking) from strategy problems (offer, price, market). We will recommend a change with a cost and a time box — pause a tactic, recut the creative, move budget — and we will not wait for the next quarter if the waste is obvious. If the issue sits outside marketing, we will say that too. A bad month is written up in the report, not smoothed out of the charts.

Who owns the ad accounts and the creative files?

You do. Paid media, analytics, social and email accounts are opened or transferred in the client’s name. We work as administrators, and we remove our access when the engagement ends. Creative source files — layouts, edit projects, raw selects we were paid to produce — are handed over at the end of the relevant phase, or on request during the term. Stock licences follow the licence you paid for; we will not quietly substitute a cheaper image. If a previous agency still holds an account, we will write the transfer steps into week one so the work is not stranded on someone else’s login.

Do you do out-of-home and print?

We plan, write and design for out-of-home, print and transit, and we co-ordinate production with the media owner or printer. We do not own billboard inventory and we do not mark up media as a hidden line. For a Singapore campaign that might mean bus backs, concourse digital, or a run of collateral for a trade event. Lead times are longer than social: sites, print proofs and installation windows need to be booked early. If OOH is a small slice of a digital-led programme we will say whether it is worth the production cost before anyone books a board.

What happens to our tracking if we leave?

Containers, pixels and server-side connections sit in properties you own. When we offboard, you receive a written map of what fires where, which conversions are defined, and which dashboards to keep. We remove Scoopsrescueservices users from analytics, ads and tag managers. We do not uninstall tracking as a punishment, and we do not hold data to ransom. If a new team takes over, the map is enough for them to continue without a forensic rebuild — provided they do not delete the properties. Consent banners and cookie records remain your responsibility under the Personal Data Protection Act.

How involved do we need to be week to week?

Plan for a 30-minute weekly stand-up, a longer working session every fortnight, and a monthly performance review. Someone on your side must be able to approve copy, creative and spend changes; if that person is often travelling, we agree a deputy in week one. We need timely access to product updates, pricing, and anyone who can answer a specialist question. We do not need you in the edit suite. Accounts that stall usually stall on approvals, not on ideas, which is why the operating rhythm is written down rather than left as a good intention.

Money & terms

Do you buy media or do we pay platforms directly?

You pay the platforms directly from accounts in your name. Our fee covers planning, trafficking, creative testing and reporting. We will never invoice you for Facebook or Google spend as a bundled number you cannot audit. Marketplace ads and some regional publishers work the same way. The only time money passes through us is a pass-through production cost — a printer, a location, a presenter — quoted and approved in writing first. This keeps your media history, your pixels and your discount eligibility with you when the engagement ends.

What's the shortest engagement you'll take?

A scoped project can be as short as four weeks if the brief is genuinely finite: a landing system, a messaging kit, a tracking rebuild. Retainers have a three-month minimum because media and content need a cycle to teach us anything useful. Advisory days can be booked as a block of four without a monthly programme. We will not sell a twelve-month contract to a company that only needs a site launched in March. If the work is smaller than our floor, we will say so and point you at a freelancer rather than pad a proposal.

Is paid media spend included in your fees?

No. Retainer and project fees are for people and production. Media spend is additional, paid by you to the platforms, and we will not hide a recommended budget inside a blended monthly number. In a quote we show two lines: our fee band, and an indicative media range for the job you described. If you already have spend running, we can take over the accounts without forcing a new budget, though we will say when the current split cannot support the goal. Analytics tools you already licence stay on your card as well.

What notice do you need if we pause or stop?

Retainers need 30 days’ written notice, sent to hello@scoopsrescueservices.com. Projects can be paused once; a second pause is re-quoted because the team has to be re-booked. We will complete work already in production that you have approved, and we will not start new media that cannot finish inside the notice window. Offboarding — file handover, access removal, a final report — happens in that same 30 days. Advisory blocks are prepaid and unused days can be used within 90 days, after which they lapse. We do not charge a kill fee on top of notice.

How do you invoice, and in which currency?

We invoice in Singapore dollars. Retainers are billed monthly in advance; projects are billed 40% to start, 40% at the agreed midpoint, and 20% on delivery. Payment is due within 14 days. We can add a purchase-order number and bill a regional entity if that is how your finance team works, still in SGD unless we have agreed another currency in the engagement letter. Late invoices pause media changes and new production, not reporting already owed. The first meeting, weekly calls, reporting and corrections of our own errors do not appear as extra lines.

If the question is not on the list

Write to hello@scoopsrescueservices.com or use the brief form. Tell us what you sell, who buys it, and what you want to be different in six months. We will answer the practical questions — fit, shape, timing — without a credentials theatre. The first meeting is 45 minutes, on Robinson Road or on a video call, and it is not billed.
